Ryde is an extraordinary band with passion and flare in all areas of their music. Playing in the cafe scene of New Zealand (recently staying and touring in P.N). The bands leader Tim H jr. got the band started way back in the old days of 1998. Tim quoted "We had a rollercoaster ride at the beggining, you know with all the fame getting to us and all, but after that we got settled down and we played better and tighter." "It has been an extroadinary experience there were good times (practice at richards *laugh* and the bad *christmas carols*." Ryde has been nominated for a few awards including: Best band voted by the readers of Q, Mojo, Rollingstone, listners of Much music, Grammy, MTV, Dog TV, Nominated for a heart award for their help in tibet with monkeys and a Peace award for helping the nuns. They hope to bring out their new albumn 'Fillet OF Soul and the Blueberry Monkeys' this fall so watch out for it. | ||||||||||||||||

The band has had such an effect on the world there is even a slang meaning for the word Ryde which is said to be The man on the hill is wiser than the old sloth in the tree or randy youths doing everything. They have also had an effect on the world's economy with sales rocketing up to 2.5 billion dollars in records. The reason for this is the aim at such a wide range of music listners from Miles Davis to Marilyn Manson to D.C Talk to Korn and to Aqua.Their manager and producer Richard Old said " Well you know, like the stuff we've been through like, with all the like, is cool." Mark was saying this while he laughed and looked puzzled "Cool." | ||||||||||||||||
